Venchi unveils stylish luxury Easter Egg series, including vegan variety
A series of exclusive premium Easter eggs is being released by Italian luxury chocolate brand, Venchi, including a vegan option within the range, featuring natural ingredients including Piedmont hazelnuts, writes Neill Barston.
The company has a proud heritage in the sector dating back to 1878, when Silviano Venchi, a 20-year-old chocolate enthusiast from Turin, spent all his savings to buy two bronze cauldrons for experimenting with chocolate.
Today, Venchi is an internationally recognised brand with over 350 chocolate recipes and 90 gelato flavours, sold in more than 70 countries through over 180 stores worldwide, in key cities such as New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Berlin, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Venchi is particularly renowned for its chocolates: Chocoviar, Gianduiotti, Cremini, chocolate bars, spreads, and its famous Italian gelato.
Its latest range of Easter eggs features milk, dark and salted white chocolate, with crunchy nuts or creamy Gianduja filling, with caramel, raspberry, or pistachio. Highlights include the Cannolo Chocolate Egg, new for this season. Notably, the Sicilian Cannolo is considered one of Italy’s most sought-after deserts, and has been transformed into a delicious chocolate egg for Spring. It has been made with i orange-scented ricotta cream and gluten-free biscuit crumbs in a dark chocolate shell. This 460g egg is available at £62.
Another new addition for 2024 is the Chocoviar Stracciatella chocolate egg, weighing in at 390g, at £53, blending white chocolate with cream, cocoa nibs, and vanilla beans, with crunchy milk Chocoviar grains inside.
Among the series there is also a 540g milk chocolate variety with hazelnuts (at £68), which is a milk chocolate egg with whole Piedmont Hazelnuts inner coating, and is also being made available in 60% dark chocolate.
In addition, the series also includes its Nougatine Egg, (£55) a vegan offering in dark chocolate shell with an inner coating of crunchy caramelised chopped Piedmont Hazelnut. The 2024 Easter collection is available from 20th February in all Venchi boutiques in London as well as Harrods, Selfridges, Eataly, and Fenwick.
