Mecatherm and ABI to offer combined equipment innovations for iba’s 2023 event

Equipment businesses Mecatherm and ABI have joined forces to deliver a notable series of new equipment for the bakery and snacks sector at this year’s iba event taking place this week in Munich, Germany, writes Neill Barston.

As the companies’ notes, more than ever, food manufacturers are facing multiple challenges in terms of product quality, industrial performance, and sustainability, with the firms believing that their complementary equipment as well as solutions, offer customers the opportunity to achieve objectives in these areas.

The latest solutions for the two firm aim to enable manufacturers to optimise their product quality and industrial performance while pursuing their sustainability objectives of reducing their carbon footprint. This includes its new MECATHERM M-VT oven: a vertical oven dedicated to bakery, pastry, and patisserie goods, offering high industrial performance for a wide range of products with a focus on energy efficiency and connected services. In addition, the company will also be presenting its latest M-RT moulder, a benchmark piece of equipment specially designed for premium quality crusty and soft breads, easy to use and able to improve working conditions for operators.

Furthermore, there will also be a series of innovative solutions to reduce your carbon footprint and optimise energy consumption across a complete production line. This includes ABI’s Katana multi-purpose robot scoring system, now featuring a waterjet scoring tool. Moreover, the new ABI’s EYE-Q Quality Control system based on Artificial Intelligence provides precise analysis of product quality criteria across different stages of production.
