GEA service kits support packaging and forming equipment

Industry solutions and equipment business GEA has released its service kit concept for both packaging and forming machines, which have application for machinery within the confectionery and snacks sector.

The company said its latest system will enable maintenance to be more convenient and even easier to plan, devised to ensure that personnel always have the correct spare parts required based on specific operating times and intervals.

One of the key aims of the kits is to contribute  to ensuring the availability and performance of a plant over its entire life cycle. A contractually agreed and automatic maintenance service provided by experienced GEA technicians completes this offer for carefree maintenance. This product represents another way in which GEA is able to offer proactive service which can be easily and naturally adapted to the conditions of ongoing production.

GEA Service Kits consist of selected wear parts for respective machine assemblies, which are expected to require maintenance depending on production volume and cycle – saving customers time and money. Service personnel no longer have to study various spare parts lists, but instead immediately order the necessary parts for their plant directly from GEA and at a fair market price.

Because they are kept on stock, once ordered, they are immediately available, making GEA Service Kits a more convenient option. If required, an automatic maintenance service can be included in the Service Level Agreement – for carefree and reliable maintenance and servicing.

At this year’s IFFA in Frankfurt (May 4-9, Hall 8, Stand D06), GEA experts will be providing information about the service kits, which will be available for most GEA DeltaPaks, PowerPaks, SmartPackers and MultiFormers, installed since 2007. By the end of 2019, this service will be extended to GEA MaxiFormers as well as the CookStar and other GEA equipment.
