Momentum continues to build for the World Confectionery Conference

With just under a month to go before our debut World Confectionery Conference, preparations are going from strength to strength as major industry players are continuing to sign up and participate.

The latest to do so, flavours and fragrance group Givaudan joins an already impressive list of leading sector businesses operating across sweets, snacks and bakery markets whom we are fully expecting to combine for what we are anticipating will be a first rate virtual showcase on 1 June.

There will be key trends unveiled from Innova Market Research and Euromonitor, as well as major developments including sustainability for supply chains within cocoa and manufacturing operations, as well as unveiling progress made by individual companies on equipment, systems and ingredients across our segments of industry.

While in an ideal world, we would love to have met everyone face to face, yet circumstances amid the ongoing pandemic have not made this possible. However, we have been genuinely encouraged by the response to our online plans and we hope you are all equally enthused by the prospects of our first ever event.

Collectively, we’ve placed a significant amount of effort into making this happen, and we believe there are many initiatives and achievements that need to be marked at this notable point in time amid the backdrop of an ongoing pandemic, which continues to impact on our sector as much as any other.

Thankfully, as Confectionery Production has reported, there have been some notable bright spots amid the major tests for the many companies and individuals that make up our business segments, which are continuing to demonstrate some commendable resilience.

This sense of determination will certainly be placed in the spotlight with our conference and its accompanying exhibition, so if you’ve yet to register, then it’s definitely not too late to do so, and we would encourage all those we engage to play their part in our debut conference.
