Registration opens for the 2025 World Confectionery Conference

With a host of key sustainability, innovation and technology developments continuing to evolve across our sector, we are pleased to confirm that registration for our fifth edition of the World Confectionery Conference in Brussels is now open, reports Neill Barston.

Our show is set for a notable return on Thursday, 11, September in the Belgian capital, which has deep associations with the chocolate, snacks and industry policy aspects of our combined industries, making it the perfect choice for our showcase.

As mentioned last month, we received some extremely strong feedback from our 2024 event that will inform the content and direction of our gathering in Brussels once again this autumn. We are returning to our debut venue, the Brussels Marriott, Grand Place, which has recently undergone a key refurbishment, and lies at the heart of the city which retains its strong confectionery links.

Special early bird rates are available for visitors (€175) for our one-day show, which will be available until the end of April, along with equivalent early engagement pricing for the event’s valuable exhibition element that will be returning once again. Registration is available now through our dedicated website, please use the following link: confectioneryconference.com

We greatly enjoyed welcoming a diverse range of industry guests at our event last year, and thanks is due to Belgian-based Dafos photography for some strong support on the day – you can look back on the day’s exclusive image gallery here, as well as catch our video review of the show that can be seen via our website.

As previously noted, in addition to bringing practical sessions on product, ingredient and machinery advancements, we have also featured major issues such as ongoing child labour and environmental concerns within the sector, as well as addressing other issues of valuing the principles of Fairtrade during the course of our events.

Significantly, our conference is also very much a celebration of innovation within new products, which was certainly the case across the board this year in Brussels, which saw some worthy winners of our World Confectionery Awards, which will also be returning for 2025 as a further means of direct engagement across our varying sector. Entry for our six categories of accolades is now open at the following link so we welcome contenders from the full spectrum of the industry, from small independents, through to major corporations, reflecting the dynamic range of our event. We look forward to welcoming you back to Brussels again this September.
