Remaining award categories announced for Academy of Chocolate Awards 2021

The Academy of Chocolate has announced the results from its remaining categories in its 2021 Awards. These categories include hot chocolates, spreads, flavoured couverture bars and the Academy of Chocolate brand experience awards.

Due to the global pandemic and the restrictions it brought with it, this year the judging and announcing of the Awards was separated, however the Academy comments that despite the challenges of Covid-19, “we are absolutely delighted to see the extensive innovation and creativity coming from chocolate makers across the world.

“These categories have been incredibly competitive and really showcased the diversity of makers and products.”

Spain-based Casa Cacao picked up gold in the Brand Experience category for its Bean to Bar Experience Box, a product showcasing the changing nature of cocoa beans, aiming for transparency and consumer appreciation for the origins of its chocolate.

In the hot chocolate categories, US company Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate and Dubai-based Mirzam Chocolate Makers both took home two awards each. French chocolate maker Chocolaterie A.Morin also featured heavily as it did in the bean to bar categories, with three more wins.
