Netherlands-headquartered plant-based colours group GNT will showcase the potential of its flagship Exberry series with functional confectionery concepts and more at ISM Ingredients 2026 in Cologne, Germany, writes Neill Barston.

The event, which takes place between 1-4 February at its traditional Koelnmesse location, will see over 1,500 businesses from across the confectionery world offer their latest sector offerings.

As Confectionery Production covers in our February edition of our title, ISM Ingredients makes its debut at this year’s event, with the event made possible with a smaller ProSweets sister show in light of the upcoming Interpack event in Dusseldorf in May.

The evolution of the ingredients focus for ISM comes at a particularly timely moment, as companies seek out a greater array of healthier and natural options for their product choices – which GTN Is well placed to respond to with its clean-label colouring applications.

As its flagship solution, GNT’s Exberry colours are made from non-GMO fruits, vegetables, and plants. They can be used to deliver a complete spectrum of shades in food and drink, including almost all types of confectionery.

At ISM Ingredients,  (Hall 10.1 | J010 H011), the company will present a wide variety of colourful confectionery and snack concepts to demonstrate its major potential across the confectionery and snacks space.

The company will also offer six different fruit gums that tap into the functional confectionery trend with ingredients such as Ashwagandha, caffeine, and Vitamin C. The gums are all created with bold, energetic, and saturated Exberry colours to represent their functional benefits and exotic flavor profiles.

GNT’s experts will be available throughout the event to explain more about the concepts, offer advice on using its core solution in different applications, and discuss the latest colour trends.

They will also be able to provide information on the colours’ sustainability benefits, including the fact that Product Carbon Footprint figures are available for 98% of its key colouring system’s portfolio.

Teresa Fischer, Technical Sales Manager at GNT Group, said: “Exberry is a plant-based, sustainable coloring solution that can be used to deliver vibrant shades and build instant connections with shoppers. Join us at ISM to discover how we can help you create confectionery that truly resonates with modern consumers.”
