German-founded Theegarten-Pactec is due to showcase a broad range of its packaging machinery technology at this year’s Pack Expo event in Chicago,  reports Neill Barston.

The Dresden business is due to join a total of more than 2,700 exhibitors from around the world at the event tacking place at McCormick Place, between 18-21 October.

As the business explained to Confectionery Production, its focus will be on new feeding, distribution and packaging solutions, including the FPC6, which was unveiled for the first time at this year’s interpack, as one of its flagship innovations for 2026.

The company will be appearing at  South Building, Stand S-2585 as it makes its return to Pack Expo – shortly before it trains its attention on the other side of the globe with a further key appearance at Gulfood Manufacturing, taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 3-5 November.

Moreover, as the business added, with this new generation of machines, Theegarten-Pactec is specifically strengthening its expertise in flow-wrap packaging and enabling efficient packaging processes from unpackaged products to secondary packaging in cartons. The focus is not on the principle of ‘faster, higher, further’, but rather on stable, reliable and sustainable efficiency throughout the entire life cycle. As an automated system solution, the flow packs can be transferred directly to the BLM high-performance cartoner developed in-house.

At its joint information stand with Sollich North America, Theegarten-Pactec will present its packaging solutions in video presentations. Visitors can discuss their individual packaging requirements directly with the experts.

Event education
As the organisers of this year’s Pack Expo have asserted, education is set to form a cornerstone of the 2026 show, across  five destinations on site: the Innovation Stage, Food & Beverage Processing Innovation Stage, Industry Speaks, Sustainability Central, and the Reusable Packaging Learning Centre.

With some 48,000 people registered to attend the event, across  1.3 million net square feet of exhibit space, there will be no shortage of live equipment demonstrations and expert-led education give attendees an opportunity to examine both the technologies transforming packaging and processing and the strategies behind their implementation.

In total, there will be more than 150 education sessions, ranging on topics from rapidly evolving technologies and operational efficiency to sustainability, food safety, and supply chain challenges, packaging and processing professionals are navigating an increasingly complex business environment, ensuring an engaging event across its three days.
