Italian-based equipment and systems business Cepi is gearing-up for a key display of its lines at this year’s ProSweets event, in the wake of the company’s 40th anniversary, writes Neill Barston.

As the business asserted to our magazine, the firm is keenly anticipating the global event, which takes place between 1-4 February in Cologne, has remained committed to producing integrated turnkey solutions devised for the sweets and snacks sectors.

The company remains an established global leader in bulk-handling and storage systems, providing solutions that span the entire production process. We install customised technology for high-volume ingredients like sugar, cocoa, flour, and starch, which are all vital ingredients of the confectionery trade, ensuring protection from humidity and contamination.

Frida Lega, CEPI Area Manager for Germany, welcomed the prospect of this year’s ProSweets, which follows on from last year’s combined event with its sister ISM finished product event at Koelnmesse’s trade fair halls, which attracted more than 32,000 visitors.

“We anticipate a great flow of interesting visitors at this dynamic show, providing fantastic opportunities to strengthen existing partnerships and forge new ones,”

“Our booth is dedicated to displaying our essential confectionery technologies, including comprehensive systems for sugar from milling and storing to micro-dosing, alongside expert handling for sensitive ingredients like fat, cocoa, and powder milk,” explained the senior manager.

She added there is a key focus on its high-accuracy dosing and weighing technology.  Furthermore, the sector specialist noted that achieving perfect recipe adherence is crucial, especially when handling micro-ingredients.

In response, the company has devised its automated dosing stations guarantee flawless batch homogeneity, complete traceability, and the highest standards of product safety. It is also set to demonstrate high-capacity blending stations and sophisticated conveying systems.

Freda added: “We invite all confectionery and snack producers to the show. Partnering with CEPI can streamline your production, automate processes, and future-proof your facility. Our goal is to provide solutions that minimize product waste, maximise throughput, and significantly enhance operational safety and hygiene.”
