German-based equipment specialist, Wolf Spezialmaschinen, is set for a return to what will be the final edition of ProSweets this weekend, before the event is rebranded for 2027 as ISM Manufacturing, reports Neill Barston.
The company will be joining a total of 140 businesses within the machinery and systems sector for the trade fair which starts at its traditional location of Koelnmesse, Cologne, between 1-4 February.
Wolf’s range of equipment focuses on coating machines, setting a high standard for chocolate-coated freeze-dried fruits, berries, biscuits or jellies, with its series used to produce a huge range of innovative snack products. It will be at Hall 10.1 D020 for ProSweets.
As the business explained to Confectionery Production, with single, double or triple layers of chocolate or fat coatings, a wide variety of fragile centres can be finished with particular care. Thanks to innovative spray technology, the coating can be dosed precisely to the nearest percentage. With an attached sprinkling unit, powder or small dry ingredients can also be applied.
Moreover, the company noted that it had made key advances with its DRA system, as unlike long coating lines, this comparatively compact requires very little space in production.
Furthermore, as the business asserted, the innovative technology of the DRA ensures high energy efficiency. The recycling of raw materials within the production process reduces losses – a decisive economic factor in view of rising raw material prices. The systems are also characterised by easy cleaning thanks to an integrated cleaning programme and quick product changeovers.
Wolf’s complete coating solution, the CoatMaster, comes complete with an efficient air system and storage containers. The system is fully automated and offers advanced recipe management, enabling precise coating control and real-time batch monitoring.
In addition, the company has placed a particular focus on delivering efficiency, which has made it among market leaders in dragée coating technology. With the DRA and the CoatMaster, the company, which doubled its production area last year due to high demand, aims to continue driving its business forward in 2026.
Jutta Wolf-Kallenbach commented on its systems. She said: “We are close to the market and, with the DRA, offer the confectionery industry the best equipment on the market for manufacturing new, trend-oriented products that meet current consumer demands. Well-known names in the confectionery industry rely on our coating machines.”
