A core strategic investment is being delivered by Schubert North America as it begins construction on its new regional facilities in Charlotte, North Carolina, US, writes Neill Barston.
As the German-headquartered packaging machinery business explained, the development of the new site, which is for an undisclosed sum, will enable it to offer enhanced support services and increase capacity of delivering equipment to customers in the region.
Significantly, the company also asserted that there remains notable potential for growth within the region, as well as delivering fresh innovations for the US – which despite supply chain challenges, registered $54 billion in sales for its confectionery sector in the past twelve months.
Notably, since 2015, Schubert North America has called Charlotte, North Carolina, its home base (taking shape pictured above), and the reaction in its location has prompted the renewed expansion with a fresh investment in creating enhanced facilities.
“We will establish a facility for the final assembly and commissioning of our packaging machines, along with a dedicated workshop for service activities and new offices,” says Hartmut Siegel, Chief Executive Officer, Schubert North America. “This way, we will be in a position to better serve our North American customers.”
As part of Schubert’s corporate sustainability initiative Mission Blue, the new building will also feature key elements that align with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. This commitment reflects Schubert’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint, setting a standard for future developments within the industry.
The Charlotte office is a milestone in Schubert’s North American growth strategy. By early 2026, when the new office is fully operational, Schubert will have laid the foundation for even greater customer engagement and industry leadership, further solidifying its role as pioneer in packaging automation.
Furthermore, as the company added, the new facility will not only improve operational capacity but also foster a space where cutting-edge technology and customer-centric solutions can thrive, as it continues to grow its presence in the region.
