Läderach chocolate gains best caramel honours at Luxury Lifestyle Awards

Swiss-based chocolate business Läderach has gained a best caramel in Europe accolade at the Luxury Lifestyle Awards, celebrating some of the most notable premium goods and services in the world, reports Neill Barston.

Decades of creating unique taste experiences and three generations of passionate artisans at the head of the brand have made it internationally recognised.

The company’s Masters Tablet Caramel was deemed to be award-winning by judges, which has stemmed from its stable of confectionery which has been developed over decades.

The roots of the Läderach – chocolatier suisse brand go back to 1962 when Rudolf Läderach Jr. founded a “Confectionary of Sweet Gifts” in the small village of Glarus.

One of his most outstanding innovations was the invention of a revolutionary technology for manufacturing thin-walled truffle balls, which made the production process easier and improved product quality. This was the beginning of a long journey filled with innovation, passion, and commitment to create products of exceptional quality.

Today, sixty years after its foundation, Läderach – chocolatier suisse is run by Rudolf Läderach Jr.’s grandsons, who share the same values as their ancestors. Drawing inspiration from the tradition of Swiss culture and taking it as a basis for their own innovative solutions, the craftsmen create chocolate products of the highest quality that find its connoisseurs in different parts of the world.

“We are honoured to be among the best European manufacturers of luxury caramel according to the respected Luxury Lifestyle Awards committee. We regard this achievement as recognition not only of our efforts but also of the centuries-old tradition of Swiss chocolate making, without which Läderach – chocolatier suisse would not exist,” said Elias Läderach, the Head of Production & Innovation.

Elias Läderach presented the award-winning Masters Tablet Caramel at the World Chocolate Masters 2018 in Paris, where he wowed the jury with his lightning-fast technique, perfectionist attitude, and impeccable execution and won first place in the praline category. His creation elegantly combines intense dark chocolate with exotic fruit and caramel filling.
