Theegarten-Pactec reveals cartoning and packaging systems for Interpack

German-based packaging system specialist Theegarten-Pactec has confirmed it will be presenting two new high-performance machinery solutions for Interpack in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The Dresden-based firm will present its BLM innovation at this year’s event between May 7-13: the first cartoner which it has developed to match the pace of primary packaging machines, handling up to 2,000 individual products (120 items per minute, pictured below).

Another highlight is the new CHS modular high-performance packaging machine (main image above) for chocolate products. This is said to be capable of packing up to 1,800 products per minute instead of the previous figure of 1,200. It can also be adapted even more flexibly and therefore more efficiently to longer, higher or wider products.

Theegarten-Pactec’s range offers tailor-made packaging machines across its range which spans machinery for confectionery, through to food or non-food items. As an innovation driver, the company works on the continuous further development of its systems or develops entirely new solutions to meet special requirements.

On its cartoning breakthrough, the business added that finding a suitable cartoner in the high performance range it has developed had been extremely challenging for its customers. As a result, customers were previously unable to operate their primary packaging machines at full capacity, meaning reductions in efficiency. With the cartoner developed by Theegarten-Pactec, even small products can now be processed with a high output.

At Interpack, the company will be demonstrating how effectively the machine works using stock cubes. The application at the stand presents the individual production and packaging steps live – from powder feeding (AZO company) to the press (Romaco Kilian company), which forms the well-known tablets from the powder.

The tablets are then packaged by the BCW3 primary packaging machine in side fold at a speed of 1,400 pieces per minute, before being secondarily packaged at the same speed by the BLM cartoner in cartons (60 pieces per carton). Theegarten-Pactec will be present at Stand B51 in Hall 1 of Interpack.
