German machine manufacturer Krüger & Salecker, which has developed expertise in shaping and moulding technology, has reported a strong start for 2024, as its preparations for this year’s ProSweets event in Cologne, Germany, gather pace, writes Neill Barston.
As previously reported by Confectionery Production, the business used last year’s global Interpack trade show to highlight its FFW technology, which the business has continued to enhance.
For ProSweets, the company will be appearing at Cologne’e Koelnmesse venue’s Hall 10.1, stand C010 DO11, and will be joining a total of around 250 leading businesses from across equipment, systems and ingredients segments, as well as an array of more than 1,300 exhibitors for its sister ISM trade show, drawing a truly international audience.
Moreover, Krüger & Salecker has previously played a notable part in our 2022 World Confectionery Conference in Brussels, with the event due to return to the city on 12 September (for which you can register here via our dedicated website).
“We are really happy about our progress“, says managing partner Sören Bettex (pictured main image speaking at our Belgian event in 2022), who explained to Confectionery Production that sales of machines with a working width of 1000 mm and more have shown an encouraging upturn.
He explained that there has been additional testing on its latest FFW-technology, which has yielded positive results in further refining its capabilities, with the line previously confirmed to have a capability of forming rapidly within 12 seconds. “We believe this technology will set new standards in the production of fruit gummies,“ added Bettex of its latest innovation (below).
In addition to its equipment development, the company has also incorporated a subsidiary in the US – Krüger & Salecker Engineering, Inc. – and rolled out its new branding, underlining its continued development.
“Business in Northern America is strong and this move will help us a lot to improve“, concluded Bettex. „And about our new look: It’s simple but striking. We think it represents really well what Krüger & Salecker stands for: precision, reliability, robustness.“
