ProSweets Cologne focuses on flexible solutions

A range of flexible packing and wrapping systems designed to help producers keep pace with ever shorter product life cycles will be showcased at ProSweets Cologne, the international supplier fair for the sweets and snacks industry.

Sweets and snacks manufacturers need flexible process solutions in order to be able to adapt to different product demands. ProSweets Cologne, which will take place alongside ISM from 29 January to 1 February in hall 10.1 of the Cologne Exhibition Centre, will highlight concepts for efficient packing plants of modular design.

Although seasonal items for Halloween, Christmas and Easter offer sweets and snacks manufacturers opportunities to innovate, this also requires fast and successful adaptions in the production. More and more frequently, different products have to be made on the same production line. The format changes that are necessary for this demand flexibility in the primary and secondary packing of the sweets and snacks. Mechanical engineers react to this demand with modular packing lines, which allow the integration of further modules and tools for high production volumes or further formats at any time.

Whether packing snacks or wrapping sweets in foil ProSweets Cologne promises to showcase optionally expandable systems, which ensure format changes within the shortest space of time, including semi-automatic or automatic systems.

The ProSweets Cologne trade fair allows suppliers and manufacturers to exchange ideas within the industry on various trends, including flexible packaging. It will be accompanied by an expert supporting programme, including an event focusing on ingredients and reformulation.
