Brazil will be the partner country of ISM 2014, the international sweets and biscuits fair, which will be held in Cologne, Germany, from 26-29 January.

The exhibiting Brazilian companies will have the opportunity to present a range of products.

The participation of Brazilian companies, which represent the third largest confectionery industry in the world, is being promoted by Abicab – Brazilian Chocolate, Cocoa, Peanuts, Candies and Byproducts Industry Association – together with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – Apex-Brasil and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Brazilian Pavilion will make visitors feel as if they were on Rio de Janeiro´s Copacabana sidewalk. Visitors will also have the opportunity to taste typical products and see new market trends.

Brazilian food and drinks will be served on the 27 January and guests will be able to obtain information on how to get in touch with the respective suppliers. “We will bring the tropical breeze to Europe,” ABICAB vice-president for exports Solange Isidoro emphasizes.

As the partner country of ISM 2014, Brazil will have an opportunity to show its standing in the international confectionery market as the third-largest global producer of candies and chocolates. “Companies are getting ready to show high quality and innovative products to international buyers. “We are very optimistic,” adds Isidoro.
