A guide for confectioners

It’s been a busy week for the Confectionery Production team as we prepare to send our bumper Supplier Profile issue to press. In it, we have information from 24 suppliers in the industry – from ingredients to processing equipment manufacturers.

The wealth of information provided is ideal for any confectionery, bakery, chocolate and sweets manufacturer looking to improve productivity by investing in new equipment or if you are thinking of reformulating your products with new ingredients, or even redesign them with new packaging concepts.

In addition, we have articles on digitalisation and what this means for confectionery producers, why demand for honey is increasing and we take a look at Loacker’s production facility and headquarters in northern Italy.

The October issue also has a show preview for the upcoming Gulfood Manufacturing. With automation set to be a key focus at the event, which will be taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 31 October to 2 November, I’m looking forward to attending and listening in on the conference seminars, which are new for this year. Our diaries are filling up so if you’d like to organise a meeting at the show then please email [email protected]

Talking of trips, I’m off to Singapore tomorrow to help with Tea & Coffee World Cup’s exhibition and conference, which is being organised by our sister magazine Tea & Coffee Trade Journal. The event is incorporating cocoa for the first time this year so keep an eye out for updates on Twitter by following @tcworldcup. There’s no let-up though as we’ll be working on November and ProSweets/ISM issues as soon as we get back to our desks. If you’d like to be included in either of those show previews then please get in touch.

Until next time…
