The Ishida equipment and systems group is among key players in the machinery market headed for another major appearance at this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing event, reports Neill Barston.

As the business explained, among its core focus for this year’s event taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre between 3-5 November, will be its Inspira iTPS snack food packing system.

The line demonstrates how weighing, bagmaking and seal testing can be seamlessly combined for maximum speed, efficiency and seal integrity. Alongside this, visitors can explore a wide range of Ishida technologies that include tray sealing, inspection and production monitoring – all designed to help manufacturers optimise performance and ensure compliance.

For this year’s exhibition, visitors to the event can connect with its experts at its stand, which is located at  C3-4 in Hall 3, with the business having traditionally performed strongly at the event.

Confectionery Production will take its place at this year’s major regional showcase, offering key coverage on the ground for the event, which returns in combination with sister event, ISM Middle East, offering a window into some of the major trends being delivered across sweets and snacking in the UAE and wider region.

As for its own presence, Ishida’s  CCW-AS (below) will be displayed in a configuration for frozen food applications. It is a key part of Ishida’s extensive range of multihead weighers, all designed to handle diverse food products while delivering outstanding weighing performance, near-zero giveaway, exceptional consistency and support for efficient production.

Furthermore,  Ishida’s QX-500 tray sealer (below) will demonstrate how producers can achieve high levels of automation without compromising flexibility. Featuring a compact footprint, rapid tool changes and operation without compressed air, the system supports a wide range of tray and film formats while delivering consistently high seal quality.

To help food manufacturers meet increasingly stringent quality and compliance requirements, Ishida will showcase its IX-PD X-ray inspection system, alongside the DACS-GN-SE checkweigher with integrated CEIA metal detector. Together, these technologies provide comprehensive inspection capabilities, supporting contaminant detection, weight compliance and brand protection.

Completing the line-up, Ishida’s Sentinel 5.0 production monitoring software gives users greater visibility of plant performance.

Steve Jones, Marketing Director of Ishida Europe, said: “Gulfood Manufacturing is the region’s leading event for engaging with food producers and packers, discussing the pain points they are facing and demonstrating how the latest processing and packaging technologies can help overcome their challenges.

“Across the industry, businesses are under increasing pressure to enhance productivity, reduce costs and maintain the highest levels of product quality and compliance. By bringing together weighing, packing, inspection and data monitoring technologies within a single, fully integrated line, Ishida demonstrate how food manufacturers and -packers can gain greater control of their operations. This helps to improve overall equipment effectiveness and to make better-informed decisions based on real-time production data.”
