The next generation of equipment and systems stars at the Probat group have made a notable career start with embarking on a broad-ranging training programme with the company, reports, Neill Barston.

As the business noted, the intake of 20 new employees are set to gain an extensive range of training in locations as far and wide as The Netherlands, Scotland and Germany through to Brazil, across technical, commercial, and IT-related disciplines.

Significantly, the company asserted its approach to engaging its latest cohort of talent blends theory and practice from day one. As part of the firm’s policies, trainees actively contribute to real projects, gain valuable insights into the complex operations of a globally leading manufacturer of machinery and processing solutions for the food industry, and immediately apply their knowledge in day-to-day business.

This hands-on approach enables them to steadily develop into qualified professionals with a deep understanding of the requirements of an internationally connected organisation.

Collectively, the group has its roots stretching back some 155 years in the coffee sector, before expanding its horizons considerably, acquiring a number of businesses across the industry, including MacIntyre Chocolate Systems in Scotland, and Royal Duyvis Wiener cocoa processing in the Netherlands.

Consequently, the business has moved to position itself as a turnkey supplier of industry solutions, having around 1,200 employees in Germany and at subsidiaries in Brazil, Canada, India, Italy, Scotland, the Netherlands, and the United States,

To mark the start of their training, various networking activities were organised at the company’s international locations, that offered valuable initial insights into the infrastructure of the company.
