Finsbury brings out new mini bites
The UK-based Finsbury Food Group has launched new Nestle Toffee Crisp and Munchies mini bites into Tesco and Morrisons retail stores nationwide and is seeking wider distribution over the coming months through retail, foodservice and wholesale channels.
Finsbury plans to extend its share of the snacking cake category, which accounts for 45% of the £1billion cake industry, by using the Toffee Crisp and Munchies confectionery brands. John Steele, Brand Manager, Finsbury Food Group, said “The snacking category continues to go from strength to strength in the UK, with its value up by 4.46%. Our on-going partnership with Nestle enables us to bring innovative new products to this category.
The Toffee Crisp Mini Bites are a crispy cereal product, blended with toffee caramel and coated in milk chocolate. The Munchies Mini Bite combines a biscuit and chocolate base, layered with smooth caramel and enrobed in milk chocolate. Both products contain no added colours or flavours.
