As Nestlé’s classic Milkybar series celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, the brand has been boosted by a fresh treat in the form of the new white crunchy pops sharing bag, writes Neill Barston.
The new line, which is released next month, will feature across stores in the UK and Ireland, offers a key extension to the a series that has gained a major following in Britain, aided by a memorable series of screen ads over more than four decades.
As the company explained, the sharing bag combines crispy cereal balls with the signature Milkybar white chocolate, featuring Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa and no artificial flavours,
Rachel Beaufoy, Marketing Manager at Nestlé Confectionery, welcomed the arrival of the new line, which has continued to find its place in consumers affections despite varying trends down the decades.
“It’s an exciting year for Milkybar, and Crunchy Pops are a special launch for us. We’ve combined a delicious crunchy texture with our creamy white chocolate to create a treat we think people will love. We’re really looking forward to hearing the reaction once they hit shelves,” explained Rachel.
The brand, which was released in both the UK and Switzerland in 1936, has continued to remain a popular staple under the ownership of Nestle, with the new line taking its place alongside Milkybar range of blocks and buttons within the overall portfolio.
