Ethically focused Colombian confectionery business, Luker Chocolate will be marking the company’s 120th anniversary with an appearance at the London Food & Drink Festival next week, writes Neill Barston.

The event, staged at the Excel Centre on 16-17 September, attracts a broad range of participants from across the sector, including from within sweets and snacks market segments.

For its part, Luker, which has become a key B2B partner to a number of chocolate manufacturers operating in the UK including Coco Chocolatier, Choc-Affair and Made Uncommon, promises it is ‘going back to basics’ for its latest British appearance.

From its booth (at N784), it will focus on core sustainability messages of creating fine flavour chocolate that is sourced in a responsible manner, which it has delivered through its Chocolate Dream philosophy of supporting farming communities wellbeing, as well as seeking to pay farmers a fair wage.

Luker’s attendance at the festival’s lunch! element signals its support for customers in the region, with its series including ‘Heritage Recipes’; ‘Selected Origins’ couvertures; ‘Sensación’ caramelised chocolate couvertures; better-for-you ‘Balance’ lines; and its bakery portfolio.

In 2026, Luker celebrates 120 years of chocolate manufacturing in Colombia — home to some of the world’s finest fine-flavour cocoa. Visitors to Luker’s exhibition booth can sample a range of formats, including 8g tasting sachets, naked product, drops, chips and drinking chocolate.

Marcela Jaramillo, VP of Marketing and New Business Development, Luker Chocolate, welcomed the company’s UK return, with the business having made strong inroads into the British confectionery market.

She said: “The UK is one of the most diverse and innovative food and drink markets in the world — and Luker is genuinely excited to be back in London for lunch! As we celebrate our 120-year heritage, we’ll engage with brands, buyers as they explore the expertise, excellence and deeply ingrained sustainability of Luker Chocolate and Colombian cocoa.”
