Loacker reveals fresh extension to flagship Quadratini wafers

Premium Italian wafer brand Loacker has primed itself for the summer with a fresh launch of its new Quadratini strawberry wafers, writes Neill Barston.
The brand has continued a strong presence at key trade shows around the world including at ISM and most recently at Sweets & Snacks Expo, noting strong continued interest in its ranges.
As the company explained, its latest extension to its core series features its signature light, crispy wafers and a smooth strawberry cream filling, the new variety brings a fruit-forward twist to one of the brand’s most recognisable snacking products.
This launch builds on consumer demand for nostalgic flavors with elevated, high-quality ingredients from the Italian wafer brand that delivers premium taste and texture.
Key appointment
In other core news for the business, Loacker has moved to appoint Matt Thomas as Head of South Region sales for its American operations
In this role, he will lead sales across the Southeastern US and oversee key retail partnerships across grocery, convenience, and specialty channels.
As the company noted, he brings 20+ years of CPG experience, including leadership roles at Icelandic Glacial Water, Our Home, Bauducco, Pretzel Crisps, and ACTIVATE Drinks, as well as early work supporting Red Bull’s growth in the Carolinas.
Notably, he will serve as Loacker’s primary contact for key accounts including Food Lion, Harris Teeter, The Fresh Market, Lowe’s Foods/MDI, Food City, and Piggly Wiggly.
