Seahorse surprise for Guylian’s flagship Easter chocolate series

As Easter rapidly approaches on the horizon, Belgian premium firm Guylian has moved to release its own flagship offering in the form of a distinctive seahorse-designed egg representing its brand, writes Neill Barston.
The company has gained decades of experience in the sector, and has scored particular success within travel retail market segments, as well as holding strong listings with major supermarkets across Europe.
Its seahorse embossed egg reflects its signature range of pralines that have gained key traction in global markets – with six wrapped miniatures featuring within the latest offering, making for a distinctive gifting choice.
The milk chocolate egg is targeting the premium market across the region, and will be available at key retailers at £11 at Waitrose.com, Sainsburys.co.uk and Morrisons.com
Notably, the new line for Easter is made with 100% Fairtrade cacao, natural ingredients and no palm oil, and is finished in fully recyclable paper packaging, underlining its sustainability credentials.
The brand is produced in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, where its master chocolatiers produce over 800 million chocolates a year in a 100% climate-neutral, 27,000m² production facility, ensuring Guylian’s position as one of the nation’s leading chocolate brands.
Guylian employs around 200 people at its core facility, and has offices in the UK and Germany. Significantly, the brand is sold in more than 120 countries including Europe, Asia, Australia and America and is in the top 10 best-selling pre-packaged chocolate varieties.
As Confectionery Production has previously reported, the company has continued on its track of expansion around the world, having delivered strong stand presence at ISM in Cologne.
In addition, the business has also previously presented a booth at the event’s sister show in Dubai, where it has enjoyed particular success, as the demand for premium gifting ranges remains especially strong.
