Nestlé has Spring in its step with latest Easter releases

A dynamic range of Easter treats has been unveiled by Nestlé Confectionery, including established Quality Street, KitKat and Smarties brands, that have been instilled with key seasonal special editions, writes Neill Barston.

The major Spring celebration is regarded as one fo the three strongest for sweets and snacks launches around the world, resulting in some key innovations being delivered within the market.

For its part, Nestlé, which has committed to 100% Rainforest Alliance in its cocoa supplies, is releasing its Quality Street Golden Collection Incredible Egg, bringing together delicious fudge and caramel pieces in a milk chocolate caramel-flavoured shell, accompanied by a pack of Quality Street caramel, fudge and toffees.

Additionally, joining the  line up is Rowntree’s Randoms. In what is reportedly a first for the brand, Rowntree’s will meet Nestlé chocolate to create a shell with marshmallow pieces and Rowntree’s fruity flavoured sweets creating a delicious one-of-a-kind Easter egg. Lucky recipients of this egg will also receive a sharing bag of Rowntree’s Randoms.

Furthermore, Smarties has got a new egg in town – Smarties Sea Splash, this distinctive offering showcases some marine magic with its milk chocolate design featuring two packs of Sea Splash Smarties, a cut out crafting activity, and a QR code unlocking a world of aquatic activities.

In addition, as the company explained, KitKat fans have plenty to look forward to this spring. For those who can’t pick a favourite, the KitKat Chunky Half and Half Giant Egg returns, with a shell made up of half milk chocolate and half white chocolate. Of course, there’s two KitKat Chunky options in the pack – KitKat Chunky and KitKat Chunky White.

KitKat Caramel Cookie Collision Incredible Egg is also back. Real cookie pieces sit in a milk chocolate shell and the pack comes with two KitKat Chunky Caramel bars and a bag of KitKat Cookie Dough flavour Mini Eggs – an exclusive treat that can only be found at Easter time and has been described by one chocolate fan on Instagram as “hands down the best Easter egg.”

Egg hunts continue to be part of the fun at Easter, and Nestlé Confectionery has three brands showing up for the game in 2024. New this year, is the KitKat Easter Egg Hunt pack, the pack contains eight milk chocolate Easter eggs made with signature KitKat crunch wafer pieces, ready to be hidden away as part of an Easter Egg Hunt. Smarties and Milkybar also have Easter egg hunt packs to add to the fun.

For a premium experience, the After Eight Premium Egg returns, with a rich dark chocolate shell and a pack of signature After Eight mint chocolate thins. Last, but not least, the Milkybar Mini Egg Block is back again, with mini crunchy milk chocolate eggs dotted inside a smooth white chocolate bar.
