Gelita prepares ProSweets gummy ingredient portfolio

German-headquartered Gelita, among market leaders in collagen peptides, will place a spotlight on its comprehensive portfolio of tailored products for gummies within the confectionery and nutraceutical market at this year’s ProSweets, writes Neill Barston.

As the company explained, Confixx is a highly efficient solution for the starchless production of on-trend fortified gummies– all while safeguarding the jelly texture and melt-in-the-mouth sensation reportedly favoured by consumers.

The business will be featuring alongside around 250 enterprises from around the world at this year’s ProSweets in Cologne, spread across equipment, systems and ingredients segments. It will be held between 28-31 January, back in its four-day format after a shortened three-day special edition last year in the wake of ongoing supply chain challenges. With Soluform PE, manufacturers can develop high-protein products while SOLUFORM SR enables the creation of low, or even no sugar confectioneries. Finally, with Verisol HST, Gelita will be showcasing its ingredient solution for beauty-from-within gummies with scientifically proven benefits for skin health.

“Health and well-being is still a strong demand from consumers. Confectionery producers should take this as an opportunity and crate confectionery products with real ‘better-for-you’ appeal,” explains Oliver Wolf, Marketing EMEIA at Gelita.

“With our range of tailored gelatins, we facilitate the production of gummy products that turn current consumer demands into delicious confectionery products: be it sugar-reduced and protein-enriched gummies, beauty-from-within concepts or various other fortified gummy solutions. Our technological know-how, as well as our robust regulatory and marketing support, complement our ingredient portfolio and enable manufacturers to take their confectionery products to the next level.” Visit booth E 021 in hall 10.1 at the Koelnemesse venue in Cologne, Germany.
