Krüger & Salecker confirms Sören Bettex as World Confectionery Conference speaker

Equipment business Krüger & Salecker (K and S) has become the latest enterprise to sign up to speak at our World Confectionery Conference this September.

Our live event agenda is being updated each week with presentation topics and titles, with our industry showcase set to shine a light on major topics facing the sector.

As the team behind our latest entrant Krüger & Salecker’ explained, its presentation will be focusing  on how the engineering of machinery /equipment influences sustainability.  

Sören Bettex, who will be appearing at our event, is the co-owner and managing director of K and S after taking over with his cousin in 2020.

Before that he worked in a wide variety of organisations from small start-ups to large multi-national corporations, including the development aid sector. He studied business and engineering, holds an MBA in international management, and is a certified car mechanic. 

K and S hope to share with us at the World Confectionery Conference in Brussels how engineering of machinery influences sustainability in terms of reduction of binders and sugar, thus enabling production of healthier products, as well as production waste reduction. The presentation on 9 September will be titled Ask your engineer about sustainability: Handling precious ingredients, realising sugar reduction, and developing highly efficient and flexible production processes – a matter of technical design and machinery.

Confectionery Production magazine editor Neill Barston welcomed the latest arrival to the World Confectionery Conference.
