Major international snacking brand pladis has appointed Jennifer Moss as global chief research and development (R&D) officer for the group, across its chocolate and confectionery operations.

She joins the company’s leadership team to focus on developing innovations to build a dynamic range of products to meet the needs of consumers, and will lead a team developing tastes and flavours through a mastery of flavour science and technologies.

The company, which formed in 2016, has a number of key sweets, bakery and biscuit brands under its management including McVitie’s and Ulker, as well as exclusively distributing Godiva chocolates for consumer-packaged goods channels around the world. In addition, the business also owns a number of regional household names including Jacob’s, go ahead!, Carr’s and Flipz among others.
