Packaging specialist Macpac devises new website for its product ranges
UK-based packaging manufacturer Macpac is set to launch a new website to provide a one-stop shop for box quantities of selected lines, including for confectionery and bakery segments.
A spokesperson for the business, which recently developed its key Breakdown PET range of eco-friendly packaging, said: ‘We’ve been successfully offering our portfolio of horticultural products through a dedicated on-line Plantpac site for over four years so we have a good on-line track record. Now, in these challenging times and with the emphasis very much shifting towards on-line commerce, we are broadening that shop front.’
Initially, the company will be adding bakery packaging and general food trays to the Horticulture range but will be expanding the portfolio in the coming months. The company will continue to offer its personalised bespoke packaging service for those businesses seeking a more customised approach as it has done for over 40 years.
From the first click through to check out, Macpac explained that it has engineered the new site for easy navigation providing smaller packaging quantities for those looking for an off-the-shelf option with immediate delivery. Furthermore, they will continue to supply larger quantities for companies who require bulk deliveries by pallets through contact with the main office or the account manager.
Established in 1973, the business said that its founding principle remained one of continually striving to combine innovation, engineering and practicality into everyday solutions. It offers a full service from first idea, concept, design through to production with its extensive thermoforming operations.
