Germany’s Krüger & Salecker equipment and industry solutions group is set to make a welcome return to our World Confectionery Conference, as the company continues to grow globally, reports Neill Barston.

Dr Maximilian Anders has been appointed as head of innovation and applications for the forward-thinking business, and will be presenting at our event on 10 September, at America Square in London, alongside a dynamic range of speakers from across the sector.

This year’s event features keynote presentations from Caobisco, Ferrero, and Cargill, as well as insights from our knowledge partner for the event, Euromonitor International.

They will be supported with a full agenda with representation from across equipment, systems, finished products, and ingredients segments, ensuring our event will be a must-attend industry gathering, as we place sustainability, business resilience and innovation in the spotlight.

Soren Bettex, CEO of Krüger & Salecker, who has personally previously been a speaker at our conference, explained his firm is anticipating a return to the event, which coincides with a notably strong period for the company.

He said: “Krüger & Salecker has created the new position of Application & Innovation Engineer to further strengthen the link between application engineering, machine development and customer projects. The role is designed to accelerate the development of new applications, generate structured process knowledge and translate practical insights directly into machine innovation and customer support.

“The position has been filled by Dr. Maximilian Anders, who brings an interdisciplinary background in biotechnology, molecular medicine and biochemistry, combined with entrepreneurial experience in the food industry. Krüger & Salecker is pleased to have found a profile that combines scientific expertise, practical implementation and innovation, supporting the company’s long-term commitment to technology-driven customer solutions.”

Confectionery Production magazine editor Neill Barston welcomed the business in its return to the event, with registration for the September iteration now fully open, via our show’s website.

“It’s extremely welcome to see Krüger & Salecker back in the ranks of our conference, as it marks its fifth live edition in moving to London this September, with a packed agenda.

“Developments across equipment and systems have always been a notable part of the mix of our event, which we have strived to offer a true representation of the value chain within confectionery and snacking markets around the world. From latest developments and approaches to new products, through to examining key policy such as legislation impacting vital cocoa supply chains, our event has continued to provide a valuable forum for the sector in all its forms.”
