Significant manufacturing expansion has been confirmed by US-based Mascot Inc, as it seeks to enhance its market share, writes Neill Barston.

The third-generation family confectioner has specialized in fresh-shelled Southern pecans and handcrafted confections, notably reported an upturn in sales that has driven its investment.

As the business explained, it has added  4,000 square feet of cooking space to its vertically integrated headquarters in Glennville, Georgia, expanding its overall footprint to nearly 200,000 square feet.

This dedicated expansion specifically scales Mascot’s sugar panning capacity, allowing the brand to accelerate production across its rapidly growing flavored nut portfolio.

The expansion targets signature fan favorites, including:, Praline Pecans,  Cinnamon Glazed Pecans and Butter Toffee Peanuts

According to the firm, the scaling expansion adds 5,000 pounds of production capacity per shift, allowing Mascot to fulfill bulk orders for national retail partners, private-label clients, and industrial ingredient buyers.

Mascot stands out in the confectionery industry for its rare, fully vertically integrated operations. By handling everything from cleaning and shelling raw pecans to cooking and packaging gourmet chocolate and peanut brittle under one roof, the company maintains absolute quality control, product consistency, and supply chain efficiency.

“Mascot started as a small roadside stop back in 1955, and we’ve grown for over 70 years by listening to what our customers want,” said Kenny Tarver, President and CEO of Mascot Inc. “Right now, that demand is centered on bold flavors and premium quality. This expansion allows us to honor that promise while reaching more retail and manufacturing partners than ever before.”

Looking to the future, Mascot Inc. COO Jake Tarver added that expanding the site was very much focused on its future requirements.

He added:  “It’s about building something that lasts. As a family business, we’re always thinking ahead. This investment ensures Mascot continues to innovate and stay strong for the next generation of family leadership, and for the customers and partners who count on us.”
