Ferrero prepares major releases for Sweets & Snacks Expo including Nutella peanut flavour

Final preparations for this year’s Sweets & Snacks Expo in Indianapolis are now in full swing, with Ferrero among major brands set to unveil new innovations, including its first new North American flavour release in the form of a new peanut variety, writes Neill Barston.
The company has made significant gains in the region, and has traditionally used the key confectionery show – which calls at the Indiana Convention Centre between 13-15 May, as a launch point for a number of new items.
Confectionery Production will be on hand to report live on the week’s proceedings and experience Ferrero’s latest launch along with a host of major brands, as well as significant range of SME businesses, as well as covering the event’s parallel supplier showcase between 12-13 May, so email [email protected] with any show news or views ahead of the event or during the expo.
For its part, Ferrero will also be releasing its Rocher squares, which have been designed specifically as a sharing series, and will gain a release alongside other novelties including a new Tic Tac Dr Pepper version, which will be out this autumn.
Notably, the region’s division has seen impressive growth of 3.4% over the past year in North America, and the company is continuing this momentum with its largest-ever product reveal at the Expo. These new products, including a brand-new format for Ferrero Rocher and Nutella’s first flavour innovation tailored specifically for US preferences, reflect its focus on innovation and investment within the region.
