World’s largest Creme Egg takes centre stage at Cadbury World

Chocolatiers in the UK have taken Easter to a whole new level, as the world’s largest Cadbury Creme Egg is unveiled as a star attraction at Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham, reports Neill Barston.
The mega confectionery creation weighs a huge 45kg, standing three-feet tall, and has been likened to the size of an adult Emperor penguin.
As the company revealed, the team behind the eggs-quisite installation, Terry Collins and Dawn Jenks, have turned their chocolate making tools to dozens of chocolate creations over the last 20 years.
However, the added complexity of incorporating the gooey fondant made this Easter egg-stravaganza no mean feat, and will be on display at Cadbury World until 27 April.
Commenting on the creation, Dawn said: “We challenged ourselves to create something unique and memorable this Easter, and what’s more iconic than a Creme Egg? Replicating the much-loved Cadbury Creme Egg on an extra-large scale was an ambitious project, and it has been so rewarding to see the vision brought to life. Creating these showstopping creations is the best part of our job, and we’re really excited for the public to be able to come and see it this Easter.”
For this year’s Easter celebrations, the brand has risen to the occasion with an extended range of products beyond its classic egg series, such as a special caramel flavour sharing pack. Furthermore, the company has also devised a creme egg bar for devotees of the brand, as well as a large Easter egg.
In terms of its wider egg collection, the business has released a Caramilk option at 183g, as well as a Dairy Milk egg variety, a Cadbury Buttons offering and a hollow bunny to celebrate the season among its extended mix of products.
As for Cadbury World, the company’s other key highlights at Easter include entertainment with Mr. Cadbury’s Parrot’s Easter Egg-stravaganza Stage Show, included with standard Cadbury World admission tickets.
The site’s much-loved Character Afternoon Tea is also back on the menu every day during the Easter holidays. Join the Cadbury Characters for a delicious afternoon tea experience including mouth-watering savoury options and sweet treats. Elsewhere in the attraction egg-splore an assortment of chocolatey zones including the 4D Chocolate Adventure, new Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride, new and improved Have A Go zone, Bournville Experience and Cadbury World Shop.
