Nomo vegan chocolate celebrates accolades including Word Confectionery Award recognition

Vegan confectionery brand, Nomo has been in celebratory mood after being recognised with highly commended honours at the World Confectionery Awards held recently in Brussels, Belgium, reports Neill Barston.

Judges for the event were impressed by the quality of its entry into the finished product category for our annual event, which was part of the World Confectionery Conference, and attracted representation from across the confectionery and snacks sectors.

For its part, Nomo also received commendations at the Plant Based Taste Awards, within key categories including winning the best selection box, as well as a finalist in the chocolate of the year segment.  As the business noted, its sharing box has demonstrated a dedication to providing exceptional taste and variety for a wide range of consumers, regardless of dietary restrictions.

James Taylor, the marketing executive of the FoodBev Awards, praised the calibre of this year’s entrants: “It’s great to see how the plant-based industry is redefining the future of food. This year’s winners aren’t just better for the planet; they’re also among the most delicious for your table.”

Tara Stevens, Senior Brand Manager for NOMO commented on the awards, which she explained had helped further cement its market position. She said:  “We are thrilled to have our products recognised at such esteemed platforms. Our mission is to create chocolate that everyone can enjoy, regardless of allergies or dietary preferences, and these awards affirm the importance of what we’re doing. We’re especially proud of the recognition for innovation, as it showcases our commitment to pushing the boundaries of free-from chocolate.”

These accolades add to a successful year for NOMO, which also saw the brand win four major titles at the 2024 Free From Food Awards, including two Gold awards for the Mini Bars Sharing Box and Kids Crispy Mo, along with the coveted title of Best Large Brand of the Year
