Moo Free chocolate invests in panning line for new product series

British-founded free-from business Moo Free has made a notable investment in panning equipment to enable delivery of its latest line of Choccy Rocks chocolate, writes Neill Barston.

Since its launch in 2010 Moo Free by Andrea and Mike Jessop who both suffered from food intolerances, the company has expand considerably amid the category’s wider growth, going on to claim a total of more than 100 sector awards.

The individual snack-packs for the Devon-based company’s latest dairy-free chocolate series are made up of ‘Moofreesas’, ‘Bunnycomb’ and Chocolate Raisins, and follow in a long line of series released from the vegan and dairy-free manufacturer.

As the company noted, its rise has stemmed from its appeal to those with allergies or who are following a plant-based or vegan diet. The product range is free from dairy, gluten and soya and uses high quality, ethical chocolate.

To bring its latest chocolate covered balls to market, Moo Free’s new panning system allows each product to be evenly coated with Rainforest Alliance,  dairy-free milk chocolate.

Andrea Jessop, Moo Free CEO comments: “Our mission is to make sure no one is left out on enjoying the treats they know and love. Our innovation team has worked hard to research and test the best textures and flavours for the Choccy Rocks range. With anything new we are always learning and adapting to improve the process, the product delivery and the final result”.
