Ferrero’s global sugar confectionery president Paul Chibe moves on to Pabst brewing role

Ferrero has offered a note of thanks to former senior executive Paul Chibe, who had until recently headed the company’s American division, who has now moved to take up a post as CEO of US brewing business Pabst, reports Neill Barston.

He had risen to become chairman of the board of trustees for the country’s National Confectioners Association, having gained a number of years experience with major confectionery brand.

Chibe had recently been named as the Ferrero Group’s global president for sugar confectionery and gums, and served as a strong figurehead for the business, including leading on its presence at the country’s annual Sweets and Snacks Expo event in Chicago.

He has taken up the post of CEO at Texas-based Pabst, which has a strong heritage in the brewing trade, dating back to the 1850s.

Ferrero issued a short statement thanking him for his work with the business. It read: “Paul Chibe’s leadership made a great impact on Ferrero. We thank him and wish him luck in his new role.”
