Rousselot set to showcase major confectionery solutions at FiE and HiE events
Ingredients business Rousselot will be showcasing a broad range of confectionery solutions including for gummy applications, at this year’s FiE and HiE events set to be staged in Frankfurt, Germany, later this month, reports Neill Barston.
The show is being staged in a hybrid format from November 22, with the live element hosted from 30 November to 2 December, showcasing major developments within the segment, which has undergone considerable change during the pandemic as consumers demand for healthier and reformulated ranges has increased significantly.
For this year’s show, Rousselot, will offer visitors the opportunity to connect virtually with experts from its Global Application Laboratory located in Ghent, Belgium and talk about their potential NPD or other formulation questions. The company will also be offering a wide range of samples from its established gelatin and collagen portfolio.
As the company, part of the Darling Ingredients group, added, it will also showcase its latest SiMoGel gelatin solution which enables the production of soft gummies and even centre-filled gummies, without traditional starch depositing. Also known as ‘gummy caps’, these liquid-centre series enable high-API content, accurately dosed vitamins or minerals for example, in a format that is attractive for people of all ages.
Utilising the SiMoGel starch-free production process, these ranges caps can be hygienically manufactured at an industry-leading setting time of just 15 minutes, boosting ROI without compromising product safety or efficacy. Attendees can try a range of SiMoGel-based application samples, including gummy caps for immunity support, pain relief and sore throats, as well as a sugar-free nutraceutical gummy with a high 10mg dose of zinc – a mineral shown to contribute to normal immune function.
