Hancocks wholesalers increases vegan ranges amid spike in demand

A noted upshift in the vegan confectionery market has seen UK wholesaler Hancocks move to significantly enhance its product ranges within the segment, reports Neill Barston.

The business now has over 300 lines both in-store at its 14 cash and carry sites, as well as online, catering for the growing market segment, which has coincided with a wider consumer focus on perceived healthier options amid the ongoing global pandemic.

With Veganuary proving a major point of focus, the business is now working with a diverse range of vegan-friendly brands including Creative Nature Superfoods, The Wizards Magic Chocolate, Jealous Sweets, Montezuma’s Chocolates, Doisy & Dam, Moo Free, Tony’s Chocolonely, Dirty Cow Chocolate, Enjoy!, Booja-Booja, Swizzels Matlow, Loveraw and Retrocorn.

As the company acknowledged, there has been an increased demand from its customers to offer as broad a range as possible within the category, which  been a growing demand from customers to broaden our range of vegan confectionery and we’re striving to offer them the greatest and most unique range possible!

The company said that it is also increasing the size of our vegan pick and mix range, with new brands and product launches featured online and in-store every week. Recent new additions include; a range of Bubs sweets from the popular Swedish candy brand, along with also increasing our own Kingsway brand with additional vegan lines such as the new Kingsway Fruit Hearts 2kg in time for Valentine’s Day.
