KitKat range expands with new Honeycomb and chocolate hazelnut spread flavours

Nestlé’s UK confectionery division has moved to extend its market-leading KiKat range with an addition of two new flavours, Honeycomb, and Chocolate Hazelnut spread, reports Neill Barston.
The move comes as sales of the iconic two-fingered bar have increased by a reported 20% this year amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has seen a general trend for an increase in snacking during lockdown conditions.
As Nestlé confirmed, the two new varieties are being produced at its factory in York, which is also home to its other well established brands including Aero, Yorkie, Milkybar and Polo.
Amy Bennett-Inge, Assistant Brand Manager for KitKat said: “We’ve experienced huge demand for our 2-finger KitKats this year and we know that fans love to try new flavours from the brand. We think our Honeycomb and Chocolate Hazelnut Spread varieties really hit the spot, and we’re sure they’ll become popular new additions to the range.”
The two new flavours will replace the existing KitKat 2-finger Cookies & Cream and Lemon Drizzle varieties. KitKat Honeycomb will be available in multipacks of 9 bars (RRP £1.99) at Sainsbury’s from the end of this month and in Asda from 9th November. It will also be available in a 5+1 free pack in Iceland & B&M (£1). KitKat Hazelnut Chocolate Spread (multipacks of 9 bars, RRP £1.99) will be available from Asda from 9th November with more retailers to follow.
