Founders of tna packaging and processing group gain Order of Australia honours

The founders of Australian-headquartered packaging and processing group tna, Nadia and Alf Taylor, have been presented with insignias commemorating their appointment as Members (AM) of the Order of Australia.

Her Excellency, the Honourable Margaret Beazley, Governor of New South Wales presented the couple with the medals, in recognition of their significant service to the community through their company’s philanthropic initiatives, at an Investiture Ceremony at Government House Sydney.

Instituted by Her Majesty the Queen in 1975, the Order of Australia was established as an Australian Society of Honour for recognising Australian citizens and other individuals for achievements or meritorious service.

Speaking on the occasion, Nadia Taylor, co-founder of tna and the Nadia and Alf Taylor Foundation, said, “This recognition is an endorsement of tna’s mission and values that aims to embrace inclusive growth.

“We are both, humbled and deeply honoured to be recognised for our endeavours to lend support to the lesser fortunate, especially children and socially excluded groups, through tna’s humanitarian programs. Alf and I may be at the forefront of this, but it is the unstinting support of every team member, that allows us to share tna’s success with the disadvantaged.”

Following the commercial success of tna as a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions, the Nadia & Alf Taylor Foundation was established in 2002, and has supported more than 150 charities across 39 countries, focusing on interventions in a range of areas, including education, social enterprise, healthcare, human rights, emergency relief and animal rights.

The company has developed a number of packaging and processing solutions that have strong application across confectionery and bakery markets, with the business set to appear later this  month at this year’s Gulfood Manufacturing event in Dubai.
