Theegarten-Pactec gears up for Gulfood Manufacturing in Dubai

German-based packaging business Theegarten-Pactec has revealed it will be showcasing its latest EK4 packaging machine at the international Gulfood Manufacturing event in Dubai this November.

As the company explained, the company will be making its eight appearance at the event, with its latest high-performance line is capable of wrapping up to 2,300 boiled sweets per minute in double-twist style, with its continuous operating design said to be particular gentle on products it is processing, including hard candies.

In terms of its operation, the servo-driven wrapping material draw-off allows for exact draw-off lengths and minimises material consumption. Paper cutting blade and roller holder are also servo-driven. The stepless adjustment of the rotary gripper oscillation allows for different wrapping materials to be processed. The insertion angle is variably adjustable (up to 2.1 rotations). For different wrapping materials rotary grippers are available in the matching format.

Inside the multi-stage vibration delivery feed, broken products, twin products, and product fragments are screened out. The product hopper with permanent filling level monitoring serves to regulate the machine speed and provides an automatic product requirement signal for the pre-process. At the outlet, spliced products are automatically identified and screened out, and the “no product – no wrapping material” function ensures an economical use of wrapping material. Thanks to the simple operating procedure and the fully automatic working mode, including automatic roll change, one person can operate several machines.

“The Gulfood Manufacturing trade fair is an extremely important international event for Theegarten-Pactec. It represents a unique opportunity for us to meet up with our customers face to face – many with whom we have enjoyed strong, long-standing partnerships – and of course to meet potential new customers from this region, as well as from India and Pakistan. The export share of our machines is high – close to 90% in fact. We are very pleased and proud to take advantage of this opportunity to present the EK4, one of our most successful high-performance packaging machines,” says Markus Rustler, CEO and president of Theegarten-Pactec.

The company will be presenting its EK4 machine at Gulfood on an area of 60 square meters. After the trade fair, which takes place between November 6-8,  the showcased machine will be delivered directly to Noujaim Frères, a confectionery manufacturer headquartered in Dakar, Senegal, which produces and markets a successful line of sweet candies under the “Menthe Fraiche” brand.
