Puratos adds to baking mix range

Baking, patisserie and chocolate ingredients business Puratos has launched three new baking mixes to enable high street and small industrial bakers to personalise their breads, allowing them to create multiple bread varieties.

The mixes include Tegral Brioche, Tegral Cornbread and O-tentic Tutto Pugliese. The products are a response to increased consumer awareness and demand for global foods with provenance.

Tegral Brioche enables bakers to create brioche that is both lower in fat than traditional brioche thanks to the use of Puraslim, while maintaining a traditional buttery taste, due to the use of Sapore natural sourdoughs.

Tegral Cornbread is an American style cornbread, which has been adapted for the UK consumer to create a more ‘bread like’ result, offering the sweetness of cornbread with added corn grains for superb texture.

O-tentic Tutto Pugliese is made exclusively from a fine version of the hard wheat semolina, obtained by mixing the varieties of wheat cultivated on the highlands of Apulia and Basilicata.

Puratos managing director, Julian Lewis, notes, We pride ourselves on our unique combination of innovation, expertise and passion for bread and sourdoughs in particular. We hope bakers and their customers enjoy making and eating these breads as much as we enjoyed creating these mixes.”

Both the Tegral Brioche and Tegral Cornbread mixes are available in 15kg bags and the Otentic Tutto Pugliese mix is available in a 10kg bag.
