Established nutraceutical gummy formulator TopGum Industries, Ltd, has revealed a holistic supplement series developed in response to growing markets for gut health-based products, reports Neill Barston.
The Israeli firm includes probiotic, prebiotic, and postbiotic gummies in fruit flavors with no added sugars built on the company’s patented Gummiceuticals fibre-based platform.
TopGum will introduce the new line at SupplySide Global 2026 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, booth #6273.
“Consumers are increasingly discovering that what happens in the gut influences so much more than digestion alone,” explains Eyal Shohat, CEO of TopGum. “This awareness is transporting gut health into of the core of modern wellness. We selected this fast-growing health category to meet consumers’ desire to combine wellness with an enjoyable daily treat.
“The innovation goes far beyond incorporating prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics into a gummy. It means protecting the ingredients and their bioavailability while delivering appealing fruit flavors, colors, the right texture, all without adding sugar. Achieving this balance takes dozens of formulation trials, sensory panels, and laboratory tests. Reimagining the traditional supplement pill as a yummy gummy that consumers look forward to taking is the magic behind our day-to-day work.”

Akkermansia takes center stage
An Akkermansia gummy creation is the anchor concept in the company’s newly launched portfolio of gut wellness gummies. The product was developed together with The Akkermansia Company, the world leader in the field, and primarily targets the North American market.
Each gummy contains a potent 10 billion TFU (Total Fluorescence Units) dose of the branded ingredient, Akkermansia TAC-01 developed by The AKKERMANSIA Company (TAC). This pasteurized, highly bio accessible, postbiotic form of Akkermansia muciniphila TAC-01 is designed to remain stable through the acidic environment of the stomach.
The naturally occurring beneficial bacterial strain discovered by TAC is scientifically backed to support metabolic wellness and weight management, largely through its role in strengthening the gut barrier Beyond helping to reduce inflammation, scientific findings have linked Akkermansia to improvements in metabolic markers and GLP-1 release, which may further support healthy weight management.
TopGum’s new gut health line also features a FiberMaxxing gummy, specifically designed to help consumers boost fiber intake. Recent studies show that GLP-1 users in particular are falling short of the recommended fiber intake and lack essential nutrients, owing to calorie restrictions. This highlights the need for convenient complementary solutions that support nutritional balance, and long-term wellbeing.
Each 4.5g berry-flavored gummy encloses a blend of 2.5g soluble and insoluble fibers, overcoming the challenges of infusing highly water-absorbing fiber into a gummy matrix without impacting its firm gel structure or imparting any grainy texture. The remaining 2g of the vibrant pink gummy’s space is filled with TopGum’s patented prebiotic sweetener.

“Our FiberMaxxing gummy was created in response to the widening fiber gap to make it easier—and more flavorful—for consumers to attain their daily fiber targets,” says Jennifer Toomey, Head of New Product Development at TopGum. “With no added sugar, the prebiotic sweetening system not only awards the same indulgent bite as traditional confectionary thanks to our roots as confectioners. It also complements the action of the bioactive fibers and turns the gummy itself into part of the solution.”
