Lindt teams with fashion designer Joe Ando for New York chocolate launch

Lindt has joined forces with US-based fashion designer Joe Ando for a collaborative launch of the company’s ceremonional Japanese matcha-infused chocolate series, writes Neill Barston.
The move comes amid a growing movement of confectionery and snacking brands engaging in collaborative moves with celebrities, sports, as well as wider pop culture to drive the sector’s growth.
For its latest initiative, Lindt has team up with Ando in inviting him to showcase several of his new dresses inspired by the new chocolate series in its Manhattan confectionery store window as part of a key launch for the special edition series.
As Lindt noted, the new line has taken its cues from a Japanese trends, which led to its Tokyo Style varieties Matcha Mango, Matcha Blueberry, and Matcha Pistachio, which have all been unveiled this month.
Moreover, as the company confirmed, for its recipe’s exclusive character, Lindt’s Master Chocolatiers selected a particularly high-quality premium matcha – known as Ceremonial Grade – from one of the first harvests.
Subtle, with a bright, balanced note, it harmonizes perfectly with the fruity freshness of mango , the sweetness of blueberry , or the crunchy pistachio brittle . The result is a composition that unites traditional confectionery artistry with innovative flavors.
The new varieties Lindt Tokyo Style Matcha Mango, Matcha Blueberry and Matcha Pistachio will be available exclusively in Lindt boutiques.
