A key mash-up of Nestlé brands in the form of an Aero and Milkybar combination is bidding to become one of the taste sensations of the summer, reports Neill Barston.
The sharing treat, which has been produced at the company’s York factory, is being developed in formats including a smooth, bubbly sharing bar, as well as a bag of bite sized treats with signature Aero bubbles.
Notably, the company’s latest creation hails from the production site for its flagship KitKat brand, with the company recently confirming that its recipe would remain unchanged in the UK – while it will be re-imagined with an additional flavour layer for European confectionery fans, who are said to favour slightly crispier textures.
The Aero Milkybar range is available now in selected stores with the full range rolling out nationwide from August, with the brands having a huge level of history behind them, dating from the 1930s – with the Milkybar celebrating its 90th birthday in 2026.
Rachel Beaufoy, marketing manager, welcomed the new brand collaboration as a notable initiative from the company.
She said: “We’re very excited to see fan reactions to the team up of two of our classic brands. The iconic Milkybar white chocolate combined with the signature Aero bubbles is a duo we know fans will love.”
As the company noted, its latest release follows hot on the heels of other offerings such as Aero Caramel flavour bubbles, Aero Pistachio flavour chocolate sharing bar, and Milkybar Crunchy Pops that have demonstrated its ability to continue innovating.
Significantly, as Confectionery Production noted on a recent site visit to York, the North East production site remains home to its core research and development facilities, which have continued to drive the company’s creative development within the confectionery market.
