Valrhona prepares Lotus Collection for major TFWA Singapore expo

Major French chocolatier Valrhona is set to join a host of industry businesses within the travel retail sector, including fellow confectioners, at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition in Singapore, writes Neill Barston.

The event, which takes place between 11-15 May,  will see brands including Mars, Mondelez, Nestle, Ferrero, Guylian, Haribo, Hershey Lindt & Loacker represented in Marina Bay Sands & Expo Centre.

For its part, Valrhona will be offering an exclusive view of the company’s  Asia-exclusive ‘Lotus Collection, as well as sponsoring the evenings’ TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge.

Located at booth (#2-G23), the premium brand business’s latest offering consists of a bespoke chocolate bonbon box has been designed specifically to respond to regional taste preferences, which the business has remained committed to achieving.

As the company added, the Lotus Collection blends a refined celebration of Asian heritage and taste. Enclosed in an elegant red box adorned with lotus flowers— a symbol of purity and renewal—the collection features a curated selection of pralines inspired by traditional Asian ingredients.

Valrhona will also sponsor the TFWA Asia Pacific Lounge taking place after business hours on Monday and Tuesday, at which guests can preview the Lotus Collection along with other signature bonbons.

The company has gained a strong reputation for its craftsmanship down the decades, and has in recent years pulled off some spectacular chocolate craftsmanship, including a representation of Paris’s Notre-Dame’ Cathedral (pictured below), unveiled last Christmas to mark its huge restoration project and re-opening.

Villars, also showcased at the FNA Group International booth, will present its premium Swiss chocolate range —highlighting the shared values of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation.

Zeyneb Larabi, Travel Retail Director at Valrhona, said: “Our Lotus Collection is more than a simple box of chocolates—it’s an homage to the richness of Asian traditions and a tribute to the modern traveller who seeks authenticity through taste. We’re very excited to share this sensory journey with our partners in Singapore.”

Dea Dhrami, Asia Travel Retail Manager at Valrhona, said: “This exclusive launch is a testament to the strength of our partnership with FNA Group International and our focus on meaningful local relevance. Asia is a diverse and dynamic market and creating tailored offerings such as the Lotus Collection is key to connecting with today’s travellers.”
