Giovanni Ferrero gains major Premio Leonardo honours
A major enterprise honour has been bestowed upon Giovanni Ferrero, Executive Chairman of Ferrero Group, who has claimed the coveted Premio Leonardo 2025 accolade, reports Neill Barston.
As its organisers explained, the initiative has been celebrating successes of Italian businesses over the past two decades, recognising contribution to national export across industries.
For its part, Ferrero, which will once again be represented at our World Confectionery Conference this September, has focused on building its business on a global scale, with notable growth developing within the US, UK, and across Europe.
“This award is first and foremost a recognition of the 61,250 people across Ferrero and its affiliated companies who contribute every day, with passion and talent, to the success of our business. Our innovation journey starts with listening: understanding consumer preferences and translating them into quality products is at the heart of our strategy,” said Giovanni Ferrero, Executive Chairman of the Ferrero Group.
“Over recent years, we expanded our iconic Ferrero range into new categories and through several strategic acquisitions — including Ferrara, Fox’s & Burton’s Biscuits, and Wells — we brought locally rooted, popular brands into our portfolio. This is a tangible way to honour our heritage of care and tradition, ensuring both continuity and innovation,” he added.
Ferrero and its affiliated companies now operate across a wide range of categories including chocolate confectionery, sugar confectionery, biscuits and cookies, bakery, ice cream and better-for-you.
As the company noted, its approach is driven by quality, innovation and long-term vision, always focused on quality products, caring for people, and supporting the communities where it operates.
This Easter will be a particularly significant period for the business with its Rocher Collection includes a 13 Piece Bunny Gift Box, Ferrero Rocher Golden Eggs, Ferrero Collection Crispy Eggs, Ferrero Rocher Hollow Egg Grand Ferrero Rocher Milk, Ferrero Rocher 24 Piece Easter Gift Box, as well as a Ferrero Collection 12 piece Easter Gift box, among some of its top treats.
