Festive good vibes for Russell & Atwell’s latest fresh chocolate series

British fresh chocolate premium brand  Russell & Atwell has entered the festive season in revealing two new flavours in the form of Nutty Blond and Seville Orange, as the brand continues to gain market interest, writes Neill Barston.

The company, which recently featured in Confectionery Production with a key exclusive video feature (see below), has grown its portfolio in the wake of a major appearance on the BBC’s Dragon’s Den business series, which showcased the major potential of the category.

As the company explained, its series is made  from 100% real ingredients and always preservative and palm oil free, their hand-finished fresh chocolates have an irresistible ‘double crack’ bite sensation. Each chocolate has a thin outer chocolate shell that once cracked open, leads to a smooth, scrumptious centre, finishing with a deeply indulgent bottom layer of chocolate.

Notably, the brand sources from ethical, predominantly British producers. Their chocolates are made from responsibly sourced Fino de Aroma Colombian cocoa, fresh organic British cream and butter, Essex Borage and Salisbury Plain wildflower honey and a pinch of Dorset Sea Salt. This award-winning combination creates a moreish blend of taste and texture, making every bite a truly indulgent experience. Nutty Blond is available as a 90g bar, with 12 chocolates, priced £8.50.

A key combination of roasted hazelnuts and Russell & Atwell’s best-selling Dirty Blond chocolates- Nutty Blonde is a creamy caramelised white chocolate, creating an irresistibly nutty flavour profile. Perfect for those seeking a smooth, indulgently creamy treat with a crunchy twist, this new addition is set to become a firm favourite.

Moreover, as the company has revealed, it remains committed to sustainability, with its fresh chocolate pouches being recyclable, as well as its glass jars are designed to be refilled with their paper eco pouches. The company’s portfolio includes  British honey a key ingredient in their chocolate, Russell & Atwell also supports the Buglife charity which plants vital wildflower B-Lines for bees and other pollinators with every pouch sold. Russell & Atwell’s full range is available online at russellandatwell.com or in select delicatessens including Panzers and Booth’s supermarkets.

The company’s other latest entrant, its Seville Orange (90g), offering, includes 12 chocolates at £8.50, is developed with 34% milk chocolate and infused with juicy real Seville oranges, this vibrant flavour provides a perfect balance of rich cocoa and bright citrus notes. A zesty and sophisticated experience.

Founded by ex-Cadbury’s chocolatiers Steve Russell and Giles Atwell, Russell & Atwell has been among a small group of pioneering businesses seeking to positively influence the chocolate with fresh, preservative-free chocolates made with real ingredients and delivered chilled.

Steve Russell, Co-Founder of Russell & Atwell, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce these two new flavours to the range. Nutty Blond and Seville Orange are a reflection of our commitment to crafting fresh, high-quality chocolates with real, bold flavours. Whether you’re a fan of creamy nutty chocolate or zesty citrus undertones, there’s something for every chocolate lover.”
Giles Atwell says fresh is best, “It isn’t a big surprise that fresh products taste a whole lot better than any other recipes. After all, why wouldn’t a product made with organic fresh cream and stored in the fridge for a few weeks taste better than another product made with palm oil that sits on a supermarket shelf for a year?”
