Lindt releases latest premium Lindor dark truffles

Swiss premium confectionery group Lindt has unveiled its latest luxury offering in the form of Lindor dark 70% chocolate truffles, further extending its existing lines, reports Neill Barston.

The latest release is being made available nationwide in supermarkets, independents, Lindt ChocolateShops, with the brand having considerably extended its global reach, with its stores perceived as a major component of its ongoing success within the sector.

As the company noted, Since 1845, its master chocolatiers have combined their expertise with the highest quality ingredients from around the world, to produce its chocolates. Although the Lindt LINDOR brand launched in 1949 with a smooth Lindor tablet, the brand’s first truffles weren’t released until 1969, as a Christmas speciality.

Notably, the business now owns 12 production sites in Europe and the USA, with its products are sold by 32 subsidiaries and branch offices in around 500 of its own stores as well as via a network of more than 100 independent distributors around the globe. With a workforce exceeding 14,000 employees, the Lindt & Sprüngli Group generated sales of CHF 4.97 billion in 2022.

Today, Lindt produces over one billion Lindor truffles in almost 100 different countries worldwide with a rainbow of mouth-watering flavours from Salted Caramel, Double Chocolate, to White, Dark and Blood Orange. Many seasonal and limited-edition varieties are available with exclusive flavours available in the Lindt Chocolate shops throughout the country. Its latest chocolate truffles are available via its website, priced £6.30 per 200g box.
