Nestlé set to release a feast of chocolate treats marking Easter

A key new series of releases has been unveiled by Nestlé including offerings from KitKat, Aero and Rowntree’s for Spring 2022, including launches from KitKat, Aero and Rowntree’s.

The brand has pulled out the stops for the Easter season ahead, which is traditionally one of the strongest periods in the calendar for the wider confectionery sector.

Among the latest products are KitKat Bites, offering an indulgent breaktime treat, consistent of a chocolate centre, wafer pieces and a milk chocolate shell, available in 90g sharing bags (RRP £1.59). The series also includes Chocolate Caramel KitKat Bites (90g sharing bag RRP £1.59) will also launch in February, exclusive to Tesco and Booker.

Meg Miller, Brand Manager for KitKat said, “This is a grown-up twist on our much-loved brand,” that are “Perfect for a little evening indulgence, such as a family film night or after dinner.”

Also new from KitKat this spring is the KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff Giant Egg (274.5g, RRP £7.49). This egg offers KitKat fans their first chance to try the anticipated KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff, which will be coming to the UK market later this year. The newest Chunky flavour features the brand’s trademark crispy wafer topped with a Lotus Biscoff filling, covered in milk chocolate. The Giant Egg compromises a milk chocolate shell egg alongside three full-size KitKat Chunky Lotus Biscoff (41.5g) bars.

Furthermore, the KitKat 2 Finger White consists of two wafer fingers covered with white chocolate, at 106 calories per bar. Available from the beginning of February in multipacks of nine 2- finger bars (20.7g x 9) from a wide range of supermarkets and convenience stores. (RRP: £1.99). The KitKat 4 Finger Orange is four fingers of wafer biscuit covered with orange flavoured milk chocolate. Available in a 41.5g bar (RRP 70p) from stores nationwide. KitKat 4 Finger Orange is also available in a multipack of 4 x41.5g bars (RRP £1) exclusively from Co-operative stores until May and then from supermarkets nationwide.

The entire KitKat range is made using 100% certified sustainable cocoa, sourced through the Nestlé Cocoa Plan in conjunction with Rainforest Alliance and contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.

Another release from the company arrives in the form of its Aero Melt buttons. These are available in milk chocolate, chocolate (92g, RRP £1.59) and caramel flavour (86g, RRP £1.59) sharing bags, available in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide from the beginning of February. An Aero Melts orange variant will be available exclusively in Asda stores.

Aero senior brand manager, Marion Miles, said, “The science and technology behind Aero made it unique from the start – but we continually look for new ways to innovate and delight fans. We are thrilled to introduce a completely different way to experience our famous bubbles this year.”

Finally, brand new from Rowntree’s this spring are Randoms Squidgy Swirls. Available in supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide from the beginning of February, Randoms Squidgy Swirls are an assortment of fruit and yoghurt-flavour jellies in three varieties: blackcurrant and yoghurt, strawberry and yoghurt and apple and yoghurt (all 130g sharing bags, RRP £1.59).
Also new to the Rowntree’s range are Jelly Tots Tropical Tots. A vegan friendly sweet, Tropical Tots are made with real fruit juice and come in five flavours: passion fruit, peach, pineapple, grapefruit and mango (140g sharing bag, RRP £1.59). Jelly Tots Tropical Tots are available exclusively in Tesco stores from the middle of February.
